PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne la fabrication de coquilles isolantes formées par un feutre de fibres minérales enroulé autour d'un mandrin. On propose d'utiliser d'une part des organes de pressage principaux intervenant dès le début de l'enroulement et restant au contact de la surface interne de la coquille pendant toute la phase d'enroulement et d'autre part des organes de pressage auxiliaires n'intervenant que lorsque la coquille en cours de conformation a atteint un diamètre extérieur donné de par exemple 200mm. L'invention s'applique notamment à l'isolation des tuyauteries de petits et moyens diamètres extérieurs.
