FASTENER WITH HEAD CAP HAVING A CONCEALED EDGE ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a composite fastener comprised of a screw type fastener having a threaded shank and an integral driving head which includes a rotational driving surface and a radially extending circumferential flange, the radial outermost region of the undersurface of the flange providing a clamping means. The undersurface of the flange is recessed radially inwardly from the clamping means. The composite fastener has a cap member of relatively thin, corrosion resis- tant metal material of substantially uniform thickness, sized and shaped to be complementary to the head, including rotation driving surface and radially extending flange providing close surface to surface contact between the head and cap member. The cap member has a skirt portion with a terminal edge, the skirt portion being folded under the clamping means and having a hemmed portion providing a lapped extremity of double thickness beneath the recessed undersurface with the terminal edge being situated between the undersurface and the folded skirt portion, whereby the terminal edge is concealed.
