- 1 - Abstract: A switch control device for controlling a plurality of switches for respectively actuating devices of a motor vehicle includes at least one stop mode switch operable only in a stopped condition of the vehicle and at least one running mode switch operable in a running condition of the vehicle. These switches are separate so that the input operation of the stop mode switch and of the running mode switch is regulated on the basis of whether the motor vehicle is stopped or moving. The arrangement enhances safety by preventing erroneous operation of some devices of the vehicle, e.g. a trunk actuator, when the vehicle is moving.
