Le gaz est aspergé au moyen d'un liquide de lavage enrichi en micro-organismes, une partie des impuretés contenues dans le gaz est ainsi fixée. Le liquide de lavage est collecté et les impuretés qui y sont contenues sont au moins pour partie décomposées par les micro- organismes soumis à un procédé d'activation. Selon l'invention le gaz aspergé de liquide de lavage est conduit dans un champ électrique haute tension d'un séparateur élec- trostatique humide (7). L'invention s'applique notamment aux installations de produc- tion de fibres minérales.
