COVER ASSEMBLY FOR REMOVABLY MOUNTED ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The combination of an electronic device to be mounted in a vehicle, such as a cellular car phone, citizen band radio and the like, and a cover assembly for at least partially enclosing a housing for the device wherein the cover assembly includes separable top and bottom sections. Each section has integrally formed attachment means engageable with complimentary attachment means formed on the housing. The housing is also provided with a rotatable cam element for engagement with a slot formed in the bottom cover section for releasably locking the cover assembly to the housing. The bottom cover section may also serve as the mounting frame for securing the device to a support surface in a vehicle.
