The Gurley porosity of the coated paper is about 10-70 sec/100 ml; and the coating is present at, a dry coatweight of up to 10gm-2, preferably 2.5 to 3gm-2. The coating is preferably applied by means of a size press. Laminate manufacture using the paper is conventional.
