ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for manufacturing a pad for a disk brake wherein the pad has a back plate and a lining on the back plate and molded by heating and pressing granules, the lining being formed of a plurality of kinds of lining por- tions which are secured to a plurality of areas set on one surface of the back plate, the method comprising charging granules for the respec- tive lining portions into areas which are defined in a mold- ing frame by a partitioning plate means so as to correspond to the areas set on the back plate, removing the partition- ing plate means from the molding frame, subjecting the granules in the molding frame to a pressing treatment at which the granules are pressed against the back plate which is disposed so as to close an opening end of the molding frame, subjecting the granules also to a heating treatment, and securing the molded lining portions to the back plate. surface.
