ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In a motor vehicle headlight including an electric lamp, a glass reflector defining at least one opening therein and having a first reflective surface for reflecting light from the electric lamp. A second external surface including a boss portion extending above the second surface and surrounding the opening. A metal eyelet positioned substantially within the opening and including an outer portion projecting above the boss portion. A quantity of adhesive located within the opening and surrounding the eyelet. An external contact lug having an upstanding leg portion and a base portion, the base portion having an perture therein. The outer portion of said eyelet attached to the base portion of the contact lug, and a lead-in support wire extending within the aperture within the base portion of the contact lug for being electrically connected to the electric lamp. The improvement comprising means for centering the base portion of the contact lug within the opening in the reflector to maintain the contact lug in a fixed orientation within the aperture during the attachment of the eyelet to the contact lug.
