ABSTRACT Curable coating composition containing the film-forming ingredient consisting essentially of, with the sums of the parts by weight and the mole percentages being 100 and 1001, respectively: (1) about 55-95 parts by weight of a copolymer of (a) 20-70 mole % ethylene, (b) 20-60 mole % methyl methacrylate, (c) 1-15 mole % of a hydroxyalkyl ester of acrylic acid or methacrylic acid in which the hydroxyalkyl group contains 2- 4 carbon atoms, and (d) 0-9 mole % of an .alpha., .beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, crotonic acid 2-ethylacrylic acid, and 2-propyl- acrylic acid, or of maleic anhydride, and (2) about 5-45 parts by weight of a nitrogen-resin crosslinking agent.
