ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A window unit has a plurality of adjustable anchors fixed to a bottom rail thereof. When the window unit is mounted in a building opening, a top rail thereof is received in a channel-shaped frame secured to an upper edge of the building opening and the adjustable anchors are placed on attachment base plates, respectively, secured to a lower edge of the building opening. Then, the adjustable anchors are adjusted to adjust the window unit in position between the upper and lower edges, and thereafter are welded or otherwise fastened to the attachment base plates.
