ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The conventional scaffold tubing connector includes bolts or separate wedges for locking the connector in the closed position. Thus the connector is expensive, or the problem of lost wedges arises. These disadvantages are overcome by using a connector including an arcuate body for engaging one scaffold tube, an arm pivotally connected to the body for engaging a second scaffold tube and holding the second tube against the body at a right angle to the first tube, a bifurcated hook for receiving the free end of the arm, a loop on the free end of the arm, and a wedge rotatably and slidably mounted on the loop for movement between a first position parallel to the arm for insertion between the arms of the hook and a second position perpendicular to the arm in which the wedge can be slid lengthwise to jam between the hook and the bent free end of the arm, locking the connector closed.
