ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE HIGH PERFORMANCE RUBBER-POLYESTER BLENDS This invention specifically relates to blends of grossly incompatible polymers (polyethylene terephthalate and rubber) which are blended with a dispersion stabilizer (compatibilizing agent) to obtain optimum properties, particularly impact strength, The dispersion stabilizers disclosed herein are alkenyl succinic anhydrides wherein said alkenyl group contains from 8 to 30 carbon atoms; alkyl succinic anhydrides wherein said alkyl group contains from 8 to 30 carbon atoms; and dimers, oligomers, and polymers of the structural formula: Image wherein x and y are integers, wherein R and Z can be the same or different, wherein R and Z are selected from the group consisting of alkyl moieties containing from 1 to 30 carbon atoms, alkenyl moieties containing from 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and hydrogen, wherein the total number of carbon atoms in R and Z is between 8 and 30, and wherein the ? indicates that the repeat units can be distributed in any order.
