Abstract: A throttle valve for an internal combustion engine is rotatably mounted in a pipe and is driven by a motor. The downstream side of the throttle valve is connected to the engine. A device is provided for forcably moving the throttle valve from its full-closed position at the time of engine shutdown to prevent a tar component in the fuel from causing the valve to jam.
