ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: The present invention relates to new titanium acetylacetonates. The new compounds contain one or two glycol ether groups bound to the central titanium atom. Their solutions in glycol ethers yield, after dilution with water down to chelate contents as low as 1 percent by weight, stable solutions which, even after several months of standing, display neither precipitation nor turbidity. And a method of preparing such a compound. The solution may be used for coating substrates or as a cross-linking catalyst.
