A magnetic core made of an Fe-base soft magnetic alloy consisting essentially of Fe, cpu and M wherein M is at least one element selected from the group consisting of nab, W, Ata, Zr, Hf, Ti and mao, at least 50% of the alloy structure being occupied by fine crystalline particles, and a change ratio X of effective permeability with time of said magnetic core being 0.3 or less, where X is defined by the following formula: X = 1 - µ b / µ a wherein µ a is effective permeability at 1 kHz, and µ b is effective permeability at 1 kHz after heating at 100 °C for 1000 hours in the air.
