ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a polyarylene sulfide resin composition having improved heat resistance and comprising (A) 100 parts by weight of a polyarylene sulfide resin, (B) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight of a fatty acid ester represented by the following formula (1): Image (1) wherein at least one of X1 through X4 stands for a group Image and the remainder stands for -H, -OH, an alkyl group or an allyl group, and R stands for an alkyl or alkenyl group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and (C) 0 to 400 parts by weight of an inorganic filler. The polyarylene sulfide resin composition is useful for producing shaped articles such as electric and electronic appliances, automobile parts and chemical instrument parts.
