ABSTRACT A holder allows one to carry a portable communication unit such as a pager with a display on a waist belt or the like. The holder includes a casing for receiving the unit and provided with a window through which the display is visible, and a flap pivotally connected to the casing and, in turn, carrying therewith a pivotable clip for attaching the holder to a waist belt. A pair of magic fastener strips, a hook, buttons or the like are used to maintain the casing, which has received the unit therein, covered by the flap.
