PRINTED CIRCUIT BOARD FASTENER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD ABSTRACT The invention pertains to a method of attaching a power transistor and heat sink to a circuit board and the assembly thereof comprising an assembly comprising, in operative combination, a printed circuit board, a power transistor, a heat sink for dissipating heat generated by the transistor, and fastening means for resiliently clamping the transistor and the heat sink into direct and continuous contact with one another sufficient to withstand frequent thermal cycling without impairing thermal and electrical conductivity therebetween.
