Abstract: The invention provides a compound of the formula: Image wherein R1 is a C1-C5 alkyl group, a C3-C5 alkenyl group, a C3-C5 alkynyl group or a C1-C3 alkoxymethyl group, X is a hydrogen atom, a fluorine atom or a chlorine atom and A is a group of the formula: Image in which R2 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R3 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and the nitrogen atom is bonded to the benzene ring. These compounds are useful as herbicides.
