ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A survival still which produces fresh water from seawater. This still has a relatively thick microporous membrane over which sea water flows through an absorbing wicking material which is attached to the membrane at its periphery, The water evaporates and passes downward through the membrane where it is condensed and collected. The wicking material and the membrane being enclosed between liquid vapor impermeable sheets.
