ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to a new and novel process of producing a vinyl resin latex by the emulsion polymerization technique comprising adding to the latex with thorough mixing an aqueous solution of an electrolyte, such as, for example, ammonium carbon- ate, and removing a part of the water by filtration or centrifuging, and the like; to produce friable aggre- gates of individual spheres of polymer particles. Thereafter, the friable aggregates of polymer particles are separated into individual spheres of polymer parti- cles by simple light rubbing or crushing and dried. In many cases, the separation can be accomplished by simple mixing of the resin with plasticizer during the plasti- sol preparation. Thus the spray drying and the subse- quent grinding steps are eliminated producing a superior product for plastisols.
