PROCESS FOR PREPARING SILICONE MICROPARTICLES CURED BY A MICHAEL ADDITION REACTION ABSTRACT Microparticles, such as microspheres and micro- capsules, comprising a solid organopolysiloxane are prepared by curing a dispersion of discrete entities by means of a Michael-type addition reaction. The discrete entities are dispersed in a fluid continuous phase and are sphere-like particles of a curable liquid organopolysiloxane composition, or such a liquid organopolysiloxane composition containing a material to be encapsulated. The microparticles may be elastomeric or resinous and are useful as filler particles and time-release capsules.
