ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clip is disclosed for sealingly connecting to a nipple a pipe of a material that cold flows when subjected to prolonged mechanical pressure. The clip includes a constriction band inten- ded to encircle the pipe and adapted to be tensioned by a screw, which is rotatably mounted in a holder. One end of the band is united to a nut travelling along the screw when the latter is turned, while the other end of the band coacts with a spring for biasing the spring when the band is tightened round the pipe with the aid of the screw. An indicator is associated with the clip, and adapted to coact with the spring to automatically indicate that predetermined bias travel has been attained.
