ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a process for colouring polyamides in the melt with azo pigments of the formula Image wherein A is the radical of a diazo or tetraazo component, R1, R2 and R3 are hydrogen atoms or alkyl, cycloalkyl, phenylalkyl or aryl radicals, and n is 1 or 2. Articles coloured with the pigments have level, strong yellow shades of excellent fastness to light, wet processing, rubbing and thermofixation.
