MODIFIED HATSCHEK MACHINE FOR PRODUCTION OF FIBER-CEMENT SHEETS CONTAINING NO ASBESTOS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A modified Hatschek machine for producing a cement and non-asbestos fiber mat including a cylinder vat for containing a slurry of cement and non-asbestos fibers in water, a cylinder in the cylinder vat, a surface on the cylinder, and a partition in the cylinder for confining a predetermined depth of slurry to engagement with a predetermined portion of the surface which is less than the amount of surface which would normally be engaged by the slurry of the same depth in the absence of the partition to control drainage of water through the cylinder from the cement and non-asbestos fiber mat which is formed thereon.
