Abstract The invention relates to a propeller-drive arrangement for a ship or the like, comprising an electric motor (1) and a propeller positioned on a shaft (2) of the motor directly or through a gear. In the invention, in order that the propeller would be pivotable, the elec- tric motor (1) and the shaft (2) thereof are arranged in a water-proof, generally cylindrical chamber (6) provided with a sealed shaft opening (S) and secured pivotably to the body (8) of the ship by means of a tubular shaft (7). (Figure 1)
