FISHING AID ABSTRACT A light signalling device is adapted to be mounted to a fishing pole or stick, proximate of the outer end of the pole or stick for signalling activity on a connected fishing line. The device acts as an electrical switch and has a body mountable on the pole or stick and a pair of metallic blades extending at fixed relative positions from the body. The blades are oriented so as to protect a light fixture extending out of the body between the blades. Tension on the fishing line brings the outer ends of the blades together, closing an electrical circuit and illuminating a light bulb of the light fixture.
