Abstract of the Disclosure In known pyrometers for gas-turbine engines, the temperature of different regions along the length of a turbine blade can be determined by focussing radiation from the blade with a lens onto a row of ends of several fibre-optic bundles. Arranging the ends of the bundles in a row does not, however, use the radiation focused by the lens very efficiently. In the present invention, the bundles are arranged in a jig with one bundle being positioned centrally and two other bundles of C-shape located on opposite sides and extending around the central bundle. In this way, the end of the three bundles forms a circular area with an efficient utilization of the radiation focus by the lens.
