ABSTRACT The operation stages of a tool-preparing press used in the field of setting up press-tools for processing cardboard and paper are controlled by a device provided with a lower and upper bearer (3, resp. 12) held by two lateral frames (13 and 14). Hydraulic pistons (51 to 85) operating vertically are regularly laid out on the lower bearer (3). These pistons support a pushing plate 10 for processing the cutting tool. The pistons are electrically piloted from a control module. The selection of the working area enables the simultaneous processing of various cutting tool formats.
