ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thermal insulation layer, suitable for use in a duvet, comprises a flexible permeable sheet of a plastics material, which may be a thin film, or a cellular foam sheet, with low thermal emissivity surfaces at both its outward facing surfaces, and with high voidage layers covering each low thermal emissivity surface. The low emissivity surfaces may be at the surfaces of a cellular foam sheet or at the surface of adjacent flexible films. The high voidage layer might be of duck down.
