ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method for determination of biochemical data for certain species of microorganisms of a certain microorganism or unicellular organism, an adsorbent in the form of a carrier provided with lectins and/or antibodies with biospecific bind- ing power structures with the ability to bind said organisms being brought to bind said organisms from a mixture of micro- organisms and possibly unicellular organisms, whereupon the adsorbent and bound organisms are separated from non-bound organisms and is then brought into contact with a substrate in order that the metabolism of the organisms is started, charac- terized in that the chemical or physical properties of the products being produced by the metabolism are determined.
