ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described an improved apparatus for measuring the length of individual items in a group of items, so arranged together in bundles, that access to or vision of said individual items is limited to the viewing of their ends, said apparatus including two sets of stereocameras for photographing each visible end of the individual items thus capturing two film images of each such visible end, and an analyzer for analysing the film images so as to make accurate length determinations.
