ABSTRACT (Reference Figure 2) A conveyor for a rolling article (10) includes a translating mat (1) having resilient tread-bars (4) for urging the article in 2 translating direction transverse to the rolling direction, which tread bars extend parallel to the rolling direction and protrude from the mat in a direction inclined at an acute angle to the translating direction. The conveyor is particularly suited to a shell feed mechanism for a gun magazine, the mat being used to maintain rolling shells in contact with a single guide wall.
