ABSTRACT A metallizable polypropylene film comprises a polypropylene layer having on one or both surfaces a 2 to 20 gauge layer of propylene-ethylene copolymer that contains about 1 to 10% by weight of ethylene and no slip agent and that has been subjected to corona discharge treatment to enhance its metal adhesion characteristics. It has about 0.03 to about 0.15% by weight, based on the polypropylene, of a fatty acid amide containing from about 16 to about 22 carbon atoms incorporated into the polypropylene layer.
