The invention refers to a guide-type sheet aligning, or positioning, station in a machine producing packages, for instance of corrugated board. The aligning guide is fitted on a belt and adapted to offer support to the upstream edge of a sheet with a view to having the latter pushed in the machine operating direction. The guide includes a supporting surface from which projects a slight portion of a roller with the purpose of reducing friction between the guide and the sheet in the course of the latter's crosswise shift in the direction of the lateral guiding ruler.
