A system (100) for regulating absorption and caloric intake can include an elongated tube (110) having a stomach portion (114) and a lower intestine portion (116) where the elongated tube defines a passage (114) to guide ingested material through the stomach (102) and through a portion of the small intestine (104). The system also includes a non-invasive stomach stricture device (150) having a clamping structure (152) for regulating the rate of flow of ingested material through the elongated tube where the clamping structure reduces the capacity of the passage by clamping a portion of the elongated tube through the exterior of the stomach.
La présente invention concerne un système (100) conçu pour réguler l'absorption des nutriments et l'apport calorique, lequel système peut comprendre un tube allongé (110) présentant une partie estomac (114) et une partie intestin inférieure (116). Le tube allongé définit un passage (114) qui permet d'acheminer la matière ingérée à travers l'estomac (102) et à travers une partie de l'intestin grêle (104). Le système décrit dans cette invention comprend également un dispositif de rétrécissement de l'estomac non invasif (150) présentant une structure de serrage (152) conçue pour réguler le débit de la matière ingérée à travers le tube allongé ; cette structure de serrage réduit l'ouverture du passage par serrage d'une partie du tube allongé depuis l'extérieur de l'estomac.
