ABSTRACT The cylindrical tiles used to line dug water wells are normally capped with a circular concrete slab having a square access hole which is closed with a square concrete plug. Such a structure is not attractive and is not impervious to dirt and water - in fact they may freely enter. In this invention, a plastic or metal cover is added to the structure described above. It keeps out foreign material while rendering the well more attractive. A foam slab is included to provide uniform support and clearance over protruding handles.
