The cylinder block (3) is a rotor that defines at least one bore (4) in which a piston (5) can reciprocate, wherein the piston~s (5) reciprocating motion is converted into a circular motion that assists in rotating the cylinder block (3) relative to the fixed portion (2) to provide a work output.
