ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides composters comprising used tires. Three main types of tire composters are discussed in this disclosure. These types are: simple tire composters, generally indicated as 100; more advanced tire composters provided with aeration and compost-gas scrubbing options for speeding up the composting process and reducing foul smell, generally indicated as 200; and tire-stack composters, also provided with aeration and compost-gas scrubbing options, generally indicated as 300. Other tire composter types, of less dominance in this presentation, are also discussed briefly. Each type may include a family of a wide variety of tire composters having similar general structure, but different in specifics such as shape and positioning of composter components, and number of tires utilized. While sharing the same novel idea of using tires to build composters, each tire composter type is distinguished from others in the degree of sophistication, cost, and performance.
