A method of transmitting feedback information in a Multi-Input, Multi-Output (MIMO) system is disclosed. In the method, a mobile station (MS) which determines to transmit feedback information and feedback type to a base station (BS) without solicitation from the BS, wherein the feedback type is transmission antenna type, and transmits the feedback information using a MIMO mode feedback extended subheader, wherein the MIMO mode feedback extended subheader appears between a Medium Access Channel (MAC) header and a payload.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour transmettre des informations de rétroaction dans un système à entrées et sorties multiples (MIMO). Dans ce procédé, une station mobile (MS) détermine s'il faut transmettre des informations de rétroaction et le type de rétroaction à une station de base (BS) sans aucune sollicitation de la part de la BS, le type de rétroaction étant une transmission de type antenne, et transmet les informations de rétroaction en utilisant un sous-entête étendu de rétroaction en mode MIMO, le sous-entête étendu de rétroaction en mode MIMO apparaissant entre un en-tête du canal d'accès au support (MAC) et une charge utile.
