Uses for treating, preventing and/or managing renal cancer. Specific embodiments encompass the use of an immunomodulatory compound alone or in combination with an additional active ingredient. The invention further relates to reducing or avoiding adverse side effects associated with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy or immunotherapy which comprise the use of an immunomodulatory compound. Pharmaceutical compositions, single unit dosage forms, and commercial packages suitable for use of the invention are also disclosed. In one embodiment, there is provided use of a compound of the formula (see above formula) for treating, preventing and/or managing renal cancer.
