A mixture of hydroxyl-terminated hydrocarbons and a hydroxyl-terminated block copolymer of polyisoprene and poly(co-ethylene- butylene-styrene) is disclosed. The mixture, found to be an effective mold release agent for polymers, is introduced as a reactant in the polycondensation or the polyaddition processes for making the relevant polymeric resins. The mixture is particularly suitable for thermoplastic polyurethane and polyurethane urea.

L'invention porte sur un mélange de composés hydrocarbonés terminés par un hydroxyle et d'un copolymère séquencé, lui aussi terminé par un hydroxyle, de polyisoprène et de poly(éthylène-butylène-styrène). Le mélange, qui s'est révélé être un agent de démoulage très efficace pour les polymères, est ajouté comme réactif dans les procédés de polycondensation ou de polyaddition pour l'obtention des résines polymériques correspondantes. Le mélange est particulièrement utile pour le polyuréthane et le polyuréthane-urée thermoplastiques.
