A centrifugal fan system for a building includes a centrifugal fan mounted for rotation about a vertical axis and having a bottom inlet. The fan is mounted in a movable housing having a fan chamber and an air outlet arranged in a side thereof. Wheels are mounted on both sides of the fan housing and engage two elongate track members, that extend horizontally and are mounted on a suitable supporting structure. Thus, the fan and its housing can be moved horizontally away from the top of an input flow concentrator. The housing has an internal, perforated scroll-shaped wall and vertical external walls. Sound insulation is located between the scroll-wall and the external walls. An electrical motor is mounted on the side of the housing and is connected to drive the fan
L'invention porte sur un système à ventilateur centrifuge pour édifice comportant un ventilateur centrifuge, monté de façon à tourner autour d'un axe vertical, et une entrée inférieure. Le ventilateur est installé dans un boîtier mobile comprenant une chambre à ventilateur et une sortie d'air sur un côté. Des roues sont montées de chaque côté du boîtier de ventilateur et s'engagent sur deux rails allongés qui se prolongent horizontalement et qui sont fixés sur une structure de support convenable. Le ventilateur et son boîtier peuvent donc être déplacés horizontalement de manière à les éloigner de la partie supérieure d'un silencieux dissipatif. Le boîtier comporte une paroi interne perforée en forme de spirale et des parois verticales externes. L'isolation acoustique se trouve entre la paroi en forme de spirale et les parois externes. Un moteur électrique est monté sur le côté du boîtier et est relié de façon à entraîner le ventilateur.
