The invention concerns an electrolytic cell (1) for producing aluminium by the Hall-Héroult process comprising cooling means by localised air blowing jets (27), and advantageously with variable flow, for evacuating and dissipating the cell heat energy. The invention also concerns an aluminium production plant using the Hall-Héroult process characterised in that some cells, or the whole set thereof, comprise individually or collectively, said cooling means.
