A method of transaction processing in a system comprising a plurality of distributed nodes, the method comprising the steps of receiving a message at a first node, the message defining an operation to be performed on data associated with an entity, queuing the message for processing by a message handler running on the node, permitting the message handler to process the message, in the event that no other message handler is operating on the data and forwarding the message to a second node for subsequent processing.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement de transactions dans un système comportant une pluralité de nAEuds distribués, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes : la réception d'un message au niveau d'un premier nAEud, le message définissant une opération à effectuer sur des données associées à une entité, la mise en file d'attente du message pour traitement par un gestionnaire de messages en cours d'exécution sur le nAEud, le traitement du message par le gestionnaire de messages, dans le cas où aucun autre gestionnaire de messages n'opère sur les données, et la retransmission du message vers un second nAEud pour traitement ultérieur.
