23233-277 ABSTRACT The invention relates to pyridyl-1,2,5-oxadiazole- carboxamide-2-oxides of the general formula I Image (I) in which one of the radicals R1 and R2 represents pyridyl and the other represents Image , wherein R3 and R4 independently of one another denote, for example, hydrogen, (C1-C6)-alkyl or (C5-C7)-cycloalkyl. The compounds of formula I have useful pharmacological properties and can be used in humans for the control or prevention of disorders of the cardiovascular system, for example as anti- hypertensive medicines in the various forms of high blood pressure and in the control or prevention of angina pectoris.
