The invention concerns block copolymers for forming an elastomer matrix of a crosslinkable rubber composition with reduced hysteresis, said rubber composition which is useable in crosslinked state in a tyre running tread, said running tread and the tyre comprising it exhibits reduced running resistance. The inventive copolymer with n blocks (n = 2 or 3), each of the blocks comprising a diene elastomer whereof the mol ratio of units derived from conjugated dienes is higher than 15 %, and one of said blocks forming a chain end of said copolymer consisting of a polyisoprene, respectively for n = 2 or n = 3, is such that: the mean mole weight M¿n1? of said or each end polyisoprene block substantially ranges between 2500 and 20000 g/mol and the mean mole weight M¿n2? of said copolymer block which is different from said or each end polyisoprene block ranges substantially between 80000 g/mol and 350000 g/mol.

La présente invention concerne des copolymères à blocs destinés à former une matrice élastomère d'une composition de caoutchouc réticulable et d'hystérèse réduite, une telle composition de caoutchouc qui est utilisable à l'état réticulé dans une bande de roulement de pneumatique, une telle bande de roulement et un pneumatique l'incorporant qui présente une résistance au roulement réduite. Un copolymère à n blocs (n = 2 ou 3) selon l'invention, chacun desdits blocs comprenant un élastomère diénique dont le taux molaire d'unités issues de diènes conjugués est supérieur à 15 %, et l'un ou chacun desdits blocs formant extrémité de chaîne dudit copolymère étant constitué d'un polyisoprène, respectivement pour n = 2 ou n = 3, est tel que: la masse moléculaire moyenne en nombre M¿n1? dudit ou de chaque bloc polyisoprène d'extrémité est sensiblement comprise entre 2 500 et 20 000 g/mol, et en ce que la masse moléculaire moyenne en nombre M¿n2? du bloc dudit copolymère qui est autre que ledit ou chaque bloc polyisoprène d'extrémité est sensiblement comprise entre 80 000 g/mol et 350 000 g/mol.
