Linear image data processing device for the generatrices of a workpiece having a rotational axis. The images are sensed by a linear image sensor having light-sensitive points, and the device comprises a memory (24) and a computer (23) for computing, for each point on the linear image sensor, image data values for said point during a first processing period which corresponds to a full rotation of the workpiece, and for storing the average value in said memory (24). The device further comprises a memory (21) for storing all the image data coming from a linear image sensor during one full rotation of the workpiece, and restoring them during a second processing period following the first one. Furthermore, said device comprises a threshold memory (26) which stores at least one threshold data item for each of the points on the light-sensitive sensor. Said device may be used to examine rotating workpieces.
ABREGE DESCRIPTIF. L'invention concerne un dispositif de traitement d'informations d'images linéaires de génératrices d'une pièce possédant un axe de révolution. Les images étant captées par un capteur d'images linéaire possédant des points photo-sensibles, le dispositif comporte une mémoire (24) et un calculateur (23) adapté à calculer, pour chaque point du capteur d'images linéaires, des valeurs d'informations d'images provenant de ce point au cours d'une première période de traitement correspondant à une rotation complète de la pièce et à mémoriser dans la mémoire (24) ladite valeur moyenne. Le dispositif comporte aussi une mémoire (21) adaptée à conserver toutes les informations d'images provenant du capteur d'images linéaire au cours d'une rotation complète de la pièce et à les restituer au cours d'une seconde période de traitement succédant à la première période de traitement. Enfin, il comporte une mémoire de seuils (26) qui conserve, pour chaque point du capteur photo-sensible, au moins une information de seuil. L'invention s'applique à l'inspection de pièces de révolution. Fig 2
