ABSTRACT It has been discovered that a tubular body having an inwardly or outwardly radially extending member undergoes distortion when the axial direction of the member is changed. In particular this distortion is in the form of an annular lip formed on the wall of the tube opposite the joint of the member and tubular body. Thus a tubular body having an inwardly extending member will form a radially outwardly extending annular lip while an outwardly extending member will cause a radially inwardly extending annular lip. The lip formed by the distortion may be used to lock the body in an opening of a container.
