A medical device and method for determining a dose of insulin to be administered for glycemic control is provided, wherein the dose is stepwise adapted, comprising determining a blood glucose value, receiving glycemic event information in respect to a predetermined glycemic event, wherein the predetermined glycemic event occurred within a predetermined time interval, receiving a previously adapted dose value stored in a storage unit, and setting an alert based on at least the blood glucose value, the glycemic event information and the previously adapted dose, wherein the alert indicates that the blood glucose value and the predetermined glycemic event are not in a specified relation to the previously adapted dose value.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif médical et un procédé permettant de déterminer la dose d'insuline à administrer en vue de la régulation de la glycémie, la dose étant adaptée de façon progressive. Ledit procédé comprend les étapes consistant à déterminer la valeur de la glycémie, à recevoir des informations relatives à des événements glycémiques en relation avec un événement glycémique prédéterminé, ledit événement glycémique prédéterminé s'étant produit au sein d'un intervalle de temps prédéterminé, à recevoir une valeur correspondant à une dose précédemment adaptée stockée dans une unité de stockage et à émettre une alerte sur la base d'au moins la valeur de la glycémie, des informations relatives à l'événement glycémique et de la dose précédemment adaptée, l'alerte indiquant qu'il n'existe pas de relation déterminée entre, d'une part, la valeur de la glycémie et l'événement glycémique prédéterminé et, d'autre part, la valeur correspondant à la dose précédemment adaptée.
